Hopefully you heard the latest Spotlight Kid single a few weeks ago here in Big Sonic Heaven, the podcast that is. If not, then let’s get acquainted with them a bit and then listen to it. Spotlight Kid are a six piece from Nottingham, England, and have been in existence since 2006 with only one member change since then. Their sound is influenced by the shoegaze bands of the ’80’s & ’90’s, Krautrock, 90’s psychedelia and other fuzzy sounding genres. They have two full-length’s, an EP and a handful of singles. Their two latest releases are the Budge Up EP, which came out in March, and their latest single released last month called “Sugar Pills,” which is available below for your listening pleasure. There you go. A short and sweet post about Spotlight Kid. Don’t forget all Big Sonic Heaven podcasts are archived on the Podcasts page.
