Peter Murphy
To celebrate the upcoming release of his tenth solo album Lion, Peter Murphy will be performing a very special concert on October 26 in Los Angeles at a top secret location.
Called Miracula Lion, it is the third in a series of shows Peter Murphy has put on for a very limited listening audience. His official Facebook page says: “… guests will have the once in a lifetime, unique experience of listening to the recording for the very first time with Peter himself. A very intimate listening party and dinner, Peter will play tracks–ones planned for the CD release and some that may never be released–and discuss the recording, the songs, personal anecdotes….it will be an incredibly special night that will introduce the new CD months in advance of the planned release date to guests. An unprecedented discussion between artist and audience will ensue, and it is something that no fan will want to miss.”
Murphy tweeted on August 24 of this year a teaser about the album, which is expected to be released in early 2014: “Part gospel, part poet of the age (right?), part no one’s heard yet…” Only 40 tickets are available for this event, at a whopping $750. All guests will receive a signed and personalized copy of Lion after it is released, plus a special edition signed photograph from the recording session. The location will be disclosed to ticket holders on the day of the show.
