Montreal’s No Joy just released their second studio album, Wait To Pleasure, on Kemado Records and Mexican Summer Records last month. I’m pretty new to No Joy whom are Jasamine White-Gluz and Laura Lloyd. Yeah, two girls pumpin’ out shoegaze. Remember Lush? Gotta love it! They formed in 2009 and also have one EP and three singles out there. I hear some great influences in No Joy from My Bloody Valentine to Lush to Cocteau Twins with a little youthful rawness in there that I really like. Add some programmed drums into a couple tracks and you have some catchy shoegaze. I’m a fan! Read more about this duo here and buy Wait To Pleasure here on iTunes.
