Greetings From Tim Buckley starring Penn Badgley is the first of two films about Jeff Buckley to be released in the near future. The second film with an unknown release date is titled Mystery White Boy and is rumored to star James Franco as Jeff Buckley and Patricia Arquette as his mother. Greetings From Tim Buckley focuses on a romantic relationship and the troubled relationship Jeff had with his father as he learns to deal with feelings he’s had locked away for years. The film leads up to the famous 1991 performance at his father’s tribute concert in St. Ann’s Church in Brooklyn. Check out the trailer below. The theatrical release is set for May 3rd.
