Panda Riot was first heard in Big Sonic Heaven back in 2008. Since then they’ve been hard at work with a new album, Northern Automatic Music, released earlier this year.

Panda Riot formed in Philadelphia while Brian Cook and Rebecca Scott were working on some short films. Soundtracks turned into songs and Panda Riot was born. After moving to Chicago, they expanded the band and in 2011 dropped the Far and Near EP . In May of 2012 they released a limited edition “Serious Radical Girls” 7” which can also be found on the new album, Northern Automatic Music, released on Saint Marie Records (US) and Vinyl Junkie (Japan).
