Bernard Sumner revealed that he has written an autobiography about the past 38 years of life, detailing his time with Joy Division and New Order, with no mention of Electronic, his collaboration with Johnny Marr, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. Entitled Chapter and Verse (Joy Division, New Order And Me), Sumner’s memoirs will be published on September 25th by Transworld. Peter Hook, his former bandmate, has previously released his own side of the story, Unknown Pleasures in 2013 and How Not To Run A Nightclub in 2009. Peter Hook’s own memoirs did not always paint a flattering picture of Bernard Sumner, and Hook has since gone on to tour with The Light exclusively playing Joy Division and New Order songs without Sumner.

New Order has promised a new album in 2015, which will be the first album from New Order without Peter Hook’s distinct basslines. For a glimpse of the spring release, check out “Singularity” below, filmed at Lollapalooza in Brazil:
